About Me

I am Scott Chandler, owner and chief photographer at Scott Chandler Productions(SCP). SCP provides a variety of photography and videography services including aerial(FAA licensed), food, and real estate visuals. SCP immediately serves the Western Nevada, Eastern California, San Francisco North Bay, and beyond.

I was born in Reno, but lived in the Portola/Graeagle area of California. I grew up there roaming the hills on ATVs, hiking, and skiing. I lived in Petaluma, CA, for a short time also. When I’m not working, you’ll find my wife and I enjoying time with our two boys, traveling, road trips, entertaining friends and family.

I got my first camera when I was 12. Photography always intrigued me. It was a hobby growing up. For anyone who doesn’t know, Portola has a deep railroad history. My first published photo was of a restored steam train in action. Little did I know when I shot it, when I was 17 from my quad on a dirt road, that it would lead me to where I am now. So of all things, trains are what got me started.

In 2004, I stepped my game up. I got a business license, and started expanding. First came family work, then school pictures. Before long, I was doing weddings. One thing led to another, and I was making a name for myself. In 2018, I went full time with this venture and have been enjoying the photography adventure ever since.
